I can still see the remainders of the last bit of sunshine but I am eager to drop a line in the local pond. First I take a brief walk around trying to spot some fish. Yes… there they are… hidden under some overhanging branches I see a couple of carp… I quickly drop a hand of 14mm Scopex Cream boilies and without hesitation the fish start feeding.
A short rig with a super sharp Gamakatsu Specialist RX hook should do the job. I chose this hook because I will have to put some extra pressure on the fish if I want to move it away quickly from those branches.
I am all set up; carefully I feed some crushed boilies… I see the fish coming… it does not seem weary at all and slowly starts feeding…
I feel the adrenalin and the enormous tension as the fish moves closer to the hook bait… And then… YES! It is hooked… the rod builds up the pressure and the hook does what it is supposed to do. A beautiful common carp falls for the Strategy Baits Sweet Scopex Cream 14mm boilies!
This is delight at its purest.
